Well, with that warm spring sun out there this aft, I think we can safely say that winter is behind us (studiously ignoring the forecast for tomorrow morning). It was another great season of big snow falls that began early but ended a bit prematurely with our usual flooding issues. We will be spending the off-season applying for permits to do some upgrades to the trails with drainage issues in the hopes we can get through the up and down weather a little easier.
Big, huge shout out to Carl and Gary and their crew who go out there in all types of weather wrestling the snow into perfect shape for our skinny skis. They are our greatest asset! Thanks from all of us.
Many thanks to Aimee Vereecke who is stepping down this year from the Registrar position. If anyone is interested in this not-too-onerous job, give us a shout at massie.skiclub@gmail.com and we can answer any questions you might have. And we always have room on the grooming team!
I would also like to thank the rest of our board members who make my job pretty easy, as well as those behind the scenes volunteers who maintain our website and produce our graphics. Thanks Vic and Tom! Have a great summer, and maybe we will see you at our AGM in October, and on the trails as soon as the snow returns.
