OSCCSC Registration Time!

Greetings!

Please find attached the minutes of our Annual General Meeting, and thanks to Kelly Rogers for taking the minutes and doing much of our membership and mailing work.

I am pleased to announce that Brent Radbourne is the new Treasurer for the Owen Sound Cross Country Ski Club. Thank you Brent, for stepping up on behalf of the club.

As you know we are now encouraging ski club members to register on-line through the Zone4 site operated by Cross Country Canada. Just go to the OSCCSC site at www.massiehills.com and follow the link under Register Online on the Join the OSCCSC tab found on the home page. $19 of the on-line registration goes straight to Cross Country Canada for insurance for each member. If you register online for two different CCC ski clubs you only have to pay the $19 once, through the first club you register with.

Of course you can still register by cheque and mail if you like by printing out the attached 2016-2017 Registration form. 

We have three ski club exchanges lined up for this season as follows:

Sauble Beach Ski Club          January 21 to 28

Bruce Ski Club *                   February 5 to 11

Glenelg Ski Club **             February 19 to 25

* The Bruce Ski Club Rankin Trail is no longer available, but you can still ski the Colpoy’s Bay Trail and the Sawmill Trail.

** As the Glenelg Ski Club does not obtain their insurance through Cross Country Canada members of other ski clubs must sign and drop off a waiver at the at the main parking lot (Hamilton Lane & Concession 8) the waiver is available on their website here: http://www.glenelgnordicskiclub.org/?page_id=34

As always we encourage you to ski safely and make note of the Fire Numbers at the front and back entrances (which are different) in the event you need to call for assistance for yourself or someone else.

We are looking forward to a better ski season than last year and have been assured by Grey Sauble Conservation that the ski trails at the back entrance will be cleaned up in time for the start of the ski season. By all accounts we should have lots of snow and our full complement of ski trails available for your enjoyment this year.
