Greetings.
Even I, the eternal optimist, have to admit that the cross country ski season is officially over, even though it is cold enough to ski out there today. The ski season was a bit of a disappointment this year but there is always hope for next year. With any luck the logging will all be done and we will have all the trails open and a longer ski season. On the occasions that I did get out this season, the trails were in good shape considering the ground never really had a chance to freeze.
I would like to thank our dedicated trail groomers as well as our Membership Coordinator and our Treasurer for helping to keep the whole thing going. We certainly had some challenges with the new Cross Country Canada Zone4 on-line registration system but it will be that much easier next year.
Finally I would like to thank all of you who sign up every year and help us to keep the Massie ski trials alive.
We will be having a General Meeting this year and we hope to see a few new members on the Executive Committee. Details of the meeting date and time will follow.
Have a great spring, summer and fall.
Thanks,
Chris Hughes
