The snow went almost as fast as it came. But it gave us time to finish our winter prep. The trail/grooming crew of Gary, Carl, Nils and Paul have been out draining wet spots and clearing deadfall. Outhouses are in place and we are now ready for the ski season.
If anyone is hiking the trail before the snow arrives and feels like adding some bending and stretching to your walk, you could pick up sticks from the trail, thumb size or bigger, and toss them aside. These tend to get stuck in the grooming machine tracks. Speaking of which, we have purchased a new one after the demise of our ancient snowmobile. It is a Yamaha Kodiak ATV with tracks. As you can see, the groomers are thrilled with their new toy. It is much easier to drive and negotiate turns, and we will no longer have to ski through diesel fumes. Yay
